Chevron Amethyst is a combination of White Quartz and Amethyst mixed to form a V-banded or striped pattern. It’s usually a beautiful lavender, purple or white in color. It can sometimes form with smoky quartz as well. It will feel rough, bumpy, and cool to the touch. But it does polish up very nicely! It rates a 7 on the Mohs hardness scale (it can scratch glass).
