These Metacanthina trilobites are beautiful with a carved matrix for standing on its own. Trilobites are an extinct group of aquatic arthropods. They are primarily characterized by their three-lobed, three-segmented form. They first appeared at the beginning of the Cambrian period, 542 million years ago.
